About This Item
From the back cover: "Schopenhauer as Educator was written in Basel in 1847 and published as the third of the Thoughts out of Season. Nietzsche himself said of this essay in Ecce homo: 'In Schopenhauer as Educator...my most intimate history is told, my becoming. Above all, my promise.' In a letter to Georg M. Brandes, Danish literary critic and historian, he wrote that the essay on Schopenhauer presents, 'so it seems to me now, more of myself than a real psychology' of the master."
Good condition. Cover has some soiling, creases at spine, and price type stickers. Pages are age tanned and edges have darkened with some spotting/staining. Text is clean and binding is tight.
