About This Item

South Bend IN: J.R. Rupert and Company, 1886. Hardcover. xviii, 547p., illustrated with tables, statistics and several diagrams in colors; later printing, hardbound in brown bevelled cloth boards gilt and blind. Spine titling is dimmed to near-illegibility and casing in general is mildly edgeworn with a touch of fray; otherwise very sound condition, good hinges and so forth, with several old ownerships on two free blanks. A good copy. Brutalist beauty, a scholar's dream of America the Efficient.
