London: Longmans, 1876. Un volume in 12mo di (4)-820-32 pagine. Ritratto inciso di Gutenberg in antiporta. Tela editoriale con titolo dorato al piatto (qualche usura). L'interesse del volume sta in realtà nella dedica (datata 1881) alla Duchesse de Richelieu da un suo “grand father”, alla pagina di occhiello “On September 10, 1889, Albert ascended to the trone of Monaco on the death of his father and that same year he married the widowed duchesse de Richelieu, nee Marie Alice Heine (1858-1925).” Alice, figlia di un costruttore emigrato in Louisiana e poi rientrato in Francia, aveva sposato il duca di Richelieu rimanendo però presto vedova. Dopo il matrimonio con Alberto di Monaco fu promotrice del Principato monegasco come centro di mondanità e di cultura, dimostrando uno spiccato senso degli affari.
