1916. Smith, Elder & Co. London. 1916. First edition, first issue with Publisher's blind stamp "PRESENTATION COPY" to prelims. Original sea-green cloth gilt with father penguin and chick illustration to front cover. Edges of boards rubbed and slightly worn. All plates and maps present including large coloured folding map at rear. Pages foxed especially to prelims and some margins. Generally a clean and sound copy of a scarce first hand account by one of Scott's colleagues. Taylor was the senior geologist of the team.
