No Jacket Very Good-No Jacket 12mo-over 6Ã,Â¾"-7Ã,Â¾" Very good-, slight edge wear, nice brick cloth with stamped black pictorial to cover and spine, gilt title cover and gilt decorative and title to spine, pages very solid, front inner hinger starting, two page frontis illus with tissue guard, Porter & Coates publishers had no consistent publishing standard for first edition, the introduction by the author is dated 1831, I have found the 1809 copy appears to be the first, I have no way to confirm that this edition is 1831 or a reprint of that, given the decorative I would put it as late 1890's early 1900's but again we can only guess, Very nice copy worthy of collecting! . Good. Decorative Cloth. Later Edition. 1831.
