New York: Random House, 1953. First edition. Hardcover. Good+ in Good dust jacket. 31 x 23.5 cm. Quarto. Glossy boards in price clipped dust jacket. Probable first edition with correct list of 8 titles on back cover of boards and jacket. However, one of the edition points is a $2.50 cover price, the price is clipped in this copy. Otherwise matches the Younger & Hirsch description for first issue. Bump to front cover and some edgewear. Jack is a bit edgeworn and with some closed tears. Some damp staining noticable to the inside of the jacket. Internally clean. This is one of the 6 Seuss titles the publisher decided to stop printing. Younger & Hirsch #68.
