Chipping to the head and tail of the spine, with short tears along the bottom and top edges of the jacket. The book itself apart from foxing on the front end pages and rear end pages, is clean and bright, and free of annotation. The book deals with English sculpture from the seventh century until the dissolution of the Monastery is in the late 1530s and the iconoclastic attack on religious imagery between 1547 and 1553. In addition to the 192 pages of halftone plates, there are 10 full-page line drawings in the text. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. XXII, 298 pages, indexed.
