Chicago: Rand McNally, 1949. Dark green hardcover cloth binding clean and tight. Slightly soiled spine. 172 pages, many b/w sketches throughout, color endpapers. 'A' on copyright page. Clean, bright and tight. DJ not price-clipped, some shelfwear, small chips and a few closed tears, has rubbed edges. Back of dj has a few spots with paper rubbed way. Now in clean Brodart to protect from further damage. Sequel to Misty of Chincoteague which also stands alone about an orphaned foal which Maureen and Paul Beebe raise. Misty's back in this story too.. Illus. by Dennis, Wesley. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Very Good/Good.
