About This Item

New York: Architectural Book Publishing Co., Inc, 1939. First Edition. Spiral Bound. Very Good. Raised and trained in Switzerland and having worked for Le Corbusier, Albert Frey (1903-1998) was closely identified with Palm Springs, California, and what was known as "Desert Modernism." In this scarce, heavily illustrated volume Frey uses the natural landscape, dwellings built by early peoples, urban planning ideas, and the industrial landscape to demonstrate his theories on architecture. First Printing. 95 pp. Oblong 4to. Stiff brown card covers with stadium and canyon images printed on front cover. Light scuffing but remarkably clean given its age and spiral binding. Sharp within.
