London: The Golden Cockerel Press. No Date [1939]. Small Quarto Size [approx 17.5cm x 24cm]. Very Good condition. Leather Spine with raised bands. Gilt to top edge. Boards are a little grubby with small patches of tanning to the front and rear hinges. The edges of the deckled pages are a little tanned but no impact on the text block. Black and white frontispiece (photo of T. E. Lawrence). Printed by Christopher Sandford and Owen Rutter at the Golden Cockerel Press in Perpeptua type on Arnold's mould-made paper. Limited edition of 1000 (of which 1-30 were fully leather bound) of which this is number 902. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper (dated 1944). Published by Permission of the Foreign Office. Foreword by A. W. Lawrence. 173 pages. Based on Lawrence's Arab Bulletins which was issued monthly from 1916 onwards and was so secret that only 20 copies were printed. (History of the Golden Cockerel Press 1920-1960 by Cave and Manson 159-160pp) . Limited Edition. Hardback.
