About This Item

np: Big Venus, 1972. Near fine.. Interesting association, collecting correspondence from Grossinger to the Mikolowskis (longtime publishers of letterpress poetry editions out of Michigan). BOOK OF THE CRANBERRY ISLANDS was later published by both Black Sparrow and Harper & Row. Grossinger, an author of interdisciplinary literature, is the father of director and author Miranda July. Wraps. Small 8vo. Saddle-stapled illustrated wraps. About fine. Bright, crisp, and clean inside and out. 49pp. Includes folded sheet laid in: "From BOOK OF THE CRANBERRY ISLANDS", [2] pp (published in Lawrance, KS, 1972 by Cottonwood Review), along with TLS from Grossinger to Ken and Ann Mikolowski of Detroit's Alternative Press, and a typed postcard ca. 1973, also sent to the Mikolowskis from Grossinger. Both TLS and postcard near fine; promo sheet about very good.
