RARE in either the British or American First Editions, this copy the American, with the American publisher listed above the British on the title page, and with different colors to the cloth and the artwork. 320 pp.( printed without the 46 page publisher's catalogue seen in the British edition). In the original publisher's grey cloth, lettering in green, pictorial artwork to spine and front cover in green, red, black and white. Very Good, cloth rubbed at spine ends, corners a bit bumped and rubbed. small "Brentano's Booksellers" label bottom edge rear paste down. Contents clean and unmarked with absolutely no foxing or toning, a quite handsome copy containing 12 stories from this master of the macabre, Richard Marsh, who is best known for his classic novel of supernatural horror, "The Beetle" (1897). . First American Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
