Signed by Robert Frost on the half-title and warmly inscribed, "To Ethel Romig Fuller for the pleasure she gave us with her visit in our diagonally opposite corner of the country Elinor and Robert Frost Gainesville, Florida March 7, 1938' Bound in publisher's blue cloth binding lettered in gilt, lacking dust jacket. Very Good with toned and faded spine and edges. Lettering on spine is illegible; light wear at extremities. Paper clip indent at front free endpaper and half-title; bookplate of Ethel Romig Fuller at front free endpaper.
A fantastic association copy from the library of Ethel Romig Fuller (1883-1965). Fuller was Oregon's third Poet Laureate, and the state's first female Poet Laureate. She was also editor of The Oregonian's poetry section from the early 1930s to the late 1950s.
