Ottawa, 1905. xvii,459pp. plus frontispiece portrait and many plates. With separate slipcase containing six folding illustrations, ten folding maps, and two folding profiles. Book: original brown cloth, gilt. Minor edge wear and slight bumping to boards. Internally clean. Maps: contemporary three-quarter calf and cloth. Minor wear, but clean. Overall very good. "An account of a topographical survey of a portion of the Selkirk Mountains adjacent to the line of the Canadian Pacific railway...accompanied by a brief review of travel and exploration, of previous surveys and of mountaineering in these regions."
