Leather bindings with blank impressing to boards and gilt trim on spines. 2 different bindings. Corners worn. Small reference labels on front pastedowns.
The O.T. text of the Codex Alexandrinus edited by Johann Ernst Grabe, who died after publication of vols. 1 (1707) and 2 (1709). Preface in v. 1 is a reprint of John Pearson's Praefatio paraenetica. Frontispiece illustration of Queen Anne in vol. 1 signed: "P. Berchet del." and "M. V dr. Gucht sculp." Text in Greek with commentaries in Latin.
