Three volumes bound together: Books I-VI, VII-IX, and X-XII. A poem in heroic couplets, complete in twelve books, about St. Francis of Assisi by the Irish Franciscan Rev. John A. Jackman. Dedicated 'in memory of the Irish Franciscans who ever loved their country and their faith; who shed their blood to preserve their Master's heritage; and who, in time of cruel and savage persecution, by untiring zeal and labour, saved the history of our native land from oblivion.'. A rather scarce title, especially complete.
