London: Chapman & Hall, 1960. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a stated first edition. The interior of the book is clean and tight. The front free endpaper has white-out, presumably hiding a former owner's information., but there are no other marks or damage. The black covers are fresh, with light wear at tips and corners. The silver gilt spine lettering is still shiny. The dust jacket is not corner clipped, and is also in very good condition, with moderate wear and handling generally, and visible paper loss to the top and bottom of the spine. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: With the entire hierarchy of tthe local police for convinced that Amy Wright has committed suicide, Sergeant Cluff uses his local knowledge to prove her death a murder, and then find the killer.
