About This Item

1986: The Earth Technology Corporation, Long Beach, California. Limited Edition. No binding. Near fine. Corwin, Jeff. Four limited-edition photographs, each one of 500, each numbered, signed and dated by the photographer, with corresponding text. A series of four black-and-white photographs, each photograph signed, dated, and numbered below the image by the artist. Over the photograph is a piece of translucent paper with red lettering; on the top is a quote by a famous literary figure which correlates with the image: William Shakespeare ("The Earth", no. 203/500); D.H. Lawrence ("The Client's Shoes", no. 112/500); Henry David Thoreau ("Tools", no. 412/500); and John Keats ("Challenges", no. 473/500). At the bottom is a summary of The Earth Technology Corporation, who commissioned these works for "selected clients". A cardstock four-fold folio encloses the photographs and paper.

Per the essay accompanying the photographs, "Jeff Corwin is an award-winning corporate photographer whose work has appeared in 'Time' and 'Fortune'." Per the web site of "Art Reveal Magazine", as of November 2020 Corwin had "transitioned to the Art World", saying (in part) "For more than 40 years, Corwin dazzled the world with his spectacular commercial photography. His commercial work won many prestigious awards and garnered vast international media coverage. 25 years ago he began to shoot his personal fine art landscape work. Now he has turned his discerning eye to fine art photography exclusively and the art world has taken notice...."
