[14] plates, includes frontis(marked as plate ix). Greenish stain to head of rear board. Top rear corner bumped. Boards and spine rubbed, scuffed. Some smudging to pages, otherwise interior clean. Front inner hinge starting to crack. Tipped in cancel at bottom title page. A very good copy. Presentation copy, inscribed to Frank Pentland Chambers (1900-1939), from T.W. Shore. Chambers was the author of "Cycles of Taste: An Unacknowledged Problem in Ancient Art and Criticism
