About This Item
New York: Jacobsen Publishing Company, Inc., 1931. Here is a bit of a bibliomystery. The author, "Robert Wallace" is the House Name for Regency Publishing given by Hubin [422]. However, this title does not appear in the list, and we have a different publisher. Quercus has had no luck in researching Jacobsen Publishing, other than to note that Jacobsen sued itself in 1930. Jacobsen most likely was a reprint operation for popular dime novels. This is a Very Good copy of a Later Printing [stated "First Printing - December, 1930. Second Printing - April, 1931"]. A rare title indeed. Green cloth binding titled in black on the spine and front cover.Clean text; 326 pages, very fresh; green topstain. Light soiling around the margins, some light rubbing to the head and foot of the spine. Lacking a dustjacket; in an archival plastic protector.. Later Printing. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
