Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. hardback, octavo, red cloth lettered dulled gilt to a spine that has a faint water mark, the pictorial dust wrapper is chipped, creased and with edge losses, this copy inscribed on title page to a previous owner, the Hungarian author and psychiatrist, Eugene Heimler, and signed and dated by the author underneath, a tightly bound copy with a clean and unmarked text, map to front endpapers, b&w plates, 267pp. Waclaw Zagórski, nom-de-guerre "Lech Grzybowski" (1909-1982) was a Polish lawyer, soldier, a participant in the Warsaw Uprising with the rank of captain and a commander in the famous Chrobry II Battalion. He was decorated with the Order of Virtuti Militari 5th Class in 1944..
