First printing, very good hardcover shows bumping to cover corners, foxing to top page edges, couple of bumps to bottom edge of front cover, tiny soil spot at half title page and some other light trace wear, in very good + dust jacket (price at flap) that shows a short corner wrinkle at bottom of rear flap and edgewear that includes bit of wrinkling and small closed tears. 388 pages. Still a pleasing copy of this novel from the legendary author that features a full rear panel photo of her.
Synopsis
A Severed Wasp, is a novel by Madeleine L'Engle. It continues the story of a pianist, Katherine Forrester, who was first seen in The Small Rain. Now a widow in her seventies, Katherine Forrester Vigneras returns to New York City in retirement from concert touring in Europe. There she encounters Felix Bodeway, an old friend from her Greenwich Village days, who is now the retired Episcopal Bishop of New York. He asks Katherine to give a benefit concert at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.
