Kinsey's second controversial study of human sexuality; his co-contributors ("the Staff of the Institute for Sex Research, Indiana University") are also listed on the Title Page: Wardell B. Pomeroy, Clyde E. Martin, and Paul H. Gebhard; along with other Assistants. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition, idustjacket, which is elusive. This is a large, heavy octavo (almost three pounds; will be shipped at exact cost) with a dark red cloth binding; spine is ruled in gilt with dark blue labels lettered in gilt. Clean text; 842 pages, indexed. The dustjacket is unclipped (the price is on the rear flap) but shows some edgewear. There is a mostly-closed tear on the front, along with two that are closed; there are three chips on the rear panel, one of which crosses over to the edge of the spine. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
