About This Item

Canal Press:, 1984. 232 pages, illustrated with b&w photos, and 2 Appendices. "In this book, the authors reexamine the style and production of the chairs made by the Shakers. A thorought study is presented through historical photographs, extensive journal and account book references, photographs of chairs, and a well documented analysis of design and construction." VERY GOOD HARDCOVER- I had to repair the front hinge to this book which had detached from its weight, else the book is a nice clean tight copy, GOOD DUST JACKET, Dust jacket protected with a clear plastic acid-free jacket. Present is a folded free standing inset of drawings of Shaker chairs by Stephen Metzger.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
