About This Item
Artcraft Press. Good. Inscribed by Fairchild, "To Stanley, Whose confidant faith, loyal help, and fine scholarship have made this a further land of friendship," and signed, Jany, 1939. In sound enought shape to binding and pages, but with the front paste-down area somewhat shaken loose at the hinge, with some brown staining to endpapers and touches to pages. Covers show moderate wear, but have serious rubbing to gilt title lettreing (still legible to front), and fading and illegible titlling to spine. The inscription is in black ink, but it has been bracketed by two lines on either side in red ink, with the "To Stanley" part underlined in red as well.
