Blue boards stamped in gilt. Dust jacket heavily chipped and creased; fading to edges and spine; heavy unsightly spotting to rear panel and front fold. Edgewear with some fading to boards with brief exposure to top edge. Binding is sound. Spotting along top edge of text block, previous owner's bookplate to front free endpaper, and interior otherwise unmarked. A Very Good copy in a Good only dust jacket. Basis for the 1936 black and white science fiction film "Things to Come" directed by William Cameron Menzies.
Synopsis
The Shape of Things to Come tells of an intellectual who dies and leaves behind a "dream book" inspired by visions that are remarkably prescient.
