John Lane - the Bodley Hill. Used - Very Good. 1896. First Edition, first state (with advertising dated 1896). Cloth, octavo,viii [2] 324 14 [series] 12 [adv] pp. Publisher's original orange cloth with decorative front and rear board stamped in red; gilt and red stamped spine; fore and bottom edges untrimmed. Some minor wear to cloth at corners and head of spine; slight bumping to corners and bottom edges of boards. Slight discoloration to spine and foxing to endpapers. Overall, a very bright copy with normal wear to externals. (Subject: Modern First.)
