Hardcover in slipcase. 1970 facsimile edition of 'Sixty Five Plates of Shipping and Craft, Drawn and Etched by E. W. Cooke', which was first published in 1829. This edition includes descriptive notes on the plates by Roger Finch as well as a bibliography and index. The book is housed in a cardboard slipcase with a pasted-on print to the front. This is in very good shape with a few marks including a little spotting to the print. The book is bound in red cloth with gilt titling to spine and is printed on good quality paper stock. 12" x 9½". Binding is clean except for a few minor marks, minor rubs, and slight fading to spine and upper edges. A few minor marks to page edges but contents clean, bright, crisp and tight without inscriptions, bookplates, foxing or other markings. Internally fine, externally good. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Laid in is a glossy four-page card advertising an exhibition of Cooke's works presented by Martyn Gregory in 1996. All orders professionally packed, tracked and/or signed for, and insured.
