About This Item
: Japanese leporello bound accordion style binding with bright red cloth boards in a pale yellow carboard original slipcase. Slipcase has white label on the front with black text to the front and spine with minor blemishes – front upper left where price tag might have been removed and a dent at the top of rear cover. Red cloth boards are in near fine condition with only one small white to the front and a small stain in the lower right corner on the rear board. All corners are sharp with no wear or bumping. The boards are perfectly attached to the accordion pages with no tears and the folding text block is straight and solid with no damage. The interior pages are clean with no tears, chips, creases, or previous owner marks. Contains twenty of Hiroshige's drawings of fish decorated with poetry in Japanese, other text is in English. Following print reproductions is an identification guide with small b&w illustrations of the relevant print and English translations of the poems. First Edition. Unpaginated but approximately 54 pages.
