Hardcover, no dustjacket, 423 pages, includes an Index, many fine illustrations, including a frontis portrait of George Clemenceau, "Originally published in 1893, under the title of 'A Child's History of France,' this excellent compendium of the salient events in French history, particularly those distinguished for their dramatic and romantic character, continues to find readers; it seems advisable, therefore, to reissue the book in a new and enlarged edition," the blue cloth spine is slightly faded, a few of the pages are corner-creased, and mild to moderate rubbing is present along the front edge of the spine and corners, the binding is tight and clean and the contents are fine .
