About This Item

NY: Linden Press, 1985. Dustwrapper shows one flaw -- a tiny 1/8" closed tear at top of front panel. This is an unusual Inhouse publisher's copy with pencil notes on ffep re: # of copies, author's advance, percentage of sales to Pearson, etc. The first edition of the author's scarce first book. With the business card of the "Subsidiary Rights Manager" for S&S laid in. Scarce & Unique!. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine.

Synopsis

A Short History of a Small Place is a 1985 novel by T. R. Pearson. Set in the fictional town of Neely, North Carolina, it tells, in a rambling and digressive manner, about the life and eventual suicide of the town's only aristocratic woman, Miss Myra Angelique Pettigrew.
