Pelican Books, London U.K., 1965. First Revised Edition.. Softcover.. Fine/--. 7 1/8 H x 4 3/8 W x 15/16 inches. thick. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. Book Interior FINE/ Covers Near Fine. Gently read once. Covers are blue/white, lettering blue, colour pictorial front. Spine is straight and square. Covers and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, a vertical crease beside spine on front, one faint vertical crease on spine, back cover completely unmarred, front cover has a very small crease at the lower left, very miniscule edge wear. Page edges slightly sunned, bottom edges have a very small bit of white stain about 3/8 x 1/4. Inside of book is tight, clean, clear, bright, flat. Small bit of age darkening inside covers at binding and on edges of some pages. Three dog ears about 1/2 inch, restored flat. Book A5. Lots of black/white maps. Chronological Table at back. This Edition Revised and brought up to date by Raymond Postgate and G. P. Wells.

Synopsis

A Short History of the World is a general history non-fiction book written by Australian historian Geoffrey Blainey. First published in 2000 by Penguin Books, it describes over 4 million years of history, from before the first people left Africa, through to the current day. In 2007 Blainey released an abridged (492 pages) paperback version of the book titled A Very Short History of the World. He also released a double audio CD set of the same name.

IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
