Name of former owner Ann Evans (Berthoff) and bookstore price written on ffep, her underscoring and marginalia on a smattering of pages (approximately 90 out of the first 600); final story, "The Jolly Corner", more heavily annoated by Prof. Warner Berthoff (author of The Ferment of Realism). Front end papers stained tan by laid-in newspaper clippings; two are present - a sketch of James (source not identified) and a humorous note from The New Yorker.
