Pantheon, 1981. Soft cover. Good. 306 pages, with introduction by John Berger, map of Sicily across two pages. Translated from Italian by Justin Vitiello and Madeline Polidoro. Interviews with and monologues by residents of impoverished villages in western Sicily, collected by the Italian sociologist, poet, and apostle of non-violent action. Small trade paperback (~5" x 8"), shelf wear and rubbed along edges of spine, stains to a couple of pages as from laid-in newspaper clippings. Underscoring and/or marginalia on ~15 pages of the main text, mostly small pencil marks in margins; heavier annotation by former owner Prof. Ann E. Berthoff in the introduction (highly critical) and Dolci's preface (appreciative).

Shipping charge may be reduced on some books weighing less than 1 lb to U.S. addresses. International Priority shipping charges may be reduced on books that fit in a USPS small flat-rate box. International Standard (First-Class Package International) shipping charges may be reduced for a second or more books if the total package weight does not exceed 2 lb.
