Making 15 trips to Cuba over a period of eight years, New Mexico photographer Jack Combs photographed ordinary Cubans, both urban and rural, all across the island.

Most signed copies of the book are signed only by the photographer. SCARCE SIGNED by all three contributors. A beautiful copy.

CONDITION: Fine in a Fine dust jacket and housed in a Fine slipcase that shows a bit of rubbing.

George Chaworth Musters (1841-1879) "The King of Patagonia" led a remarkable life. Born in Naples, he was orphaned by the age of four, and brought up by his uncle Hammond who had sailed with Fitzroy aboard "The Beagle". The binding is sound on these antique books - the pages are age toned but in good condition, with foxing heavier in Vol 2 (particularly at the front of the book) than 1. The boards of Vol. 2 are slightly bowed and there's a fair amount of quill pen names and notes in the front and back of that volume.
