1935. unbound. Very scarce signed photograph measuring 5.5 x 4.5 inches -- a black-and-white shot depicting Seabury dressed in his judicial robe. No place, no date, circa 1935. Boldly signed in full. Near fine.<br/><br/> Powerful New York Supreme Court Justice who publicly called Theodore Roosevelt a "blatherskite and a liar," after the latter reneged on supporting Seabury's efforts in becoming Governor of New York. In 1930 he headed the Seabury Commission whose investigation forced Mayor Jimmy Walker out of office. He is famous for telling Mayor Walker: "Plain and simple...you are a thief."<br/><br/>
