Good/Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 1st edition, 1st printing (true first). 288pp. Red cloth boards (rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, softened, lightly sunned spine). Faint and occasional spotting on text block edges, internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket (well-worn, chapped all round edges, majority of backstrip absent, shelf wear). Hard to find first edition, especially in original dust jacket, hence offering this good only copy. An excellent mystery - subtle and full of character, the trial of Carey Silence is one of the most dramatic in detective fiction. Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. 12mo
