Decorative dark green cloth. Spine lettered in gilt with green and gilt cross design to spine and cover. Top-edge gilt; others untrimmed as issued. Decorative end-papers with distinctive 'T.M' of Talwin Morris in bottom right-hand corner. Pictorial floral & heart design frontispiece. Title-page printed with floral design. Printed in red and black text throughout book. (l), 400 pages. No printer given. No owner name or internal markings. A bright, tight and clean copy. VERY GOOD INDEED. Issued by the publisher in two binding styles; leather and cloth. The latter far more durable. Scarce title in series. DESIGNER: Talwin Morris (born 14 June 1865 in Winchester, England; died 29 March 1911) was a leading illustrator and book designer during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and was a business acquaintance of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. His mother died in childbirth. In 1891, he was appointed sub editor and designer of Black and White, a weekly magazine published by Cassell and Co. In 1892 he married Alice Marsh.
