A charming book of poetry and illustrations for children. Each month features a poem by a noted writer including Oliver Wendell Holmes, Julia Ward Howe, Lucy Larcom, Samuel Longfellow, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Celia Thaxter, and other poets of the day. The relief printed silhouette illustrations on the facing page feature childhood activities and games, and provide a playful glimpse into the child's world.
