Hardback, 1951, first edition, published by Michael Joseph, London, 256 pages.
Measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/8". With dust jacket, which is tattered, with some chips and tears, a couple of sections of the spine missing and a split at the area covering the rear hinge, which has been taped, along with several other repairs. Some marking also to spine of dust jacket, which is otherwise quite clean. Blue cloth binding, slight marking on spine but also quite clean. Signs of shelf-wear. Binding firm. Page edges a little browned and upper edge a bit marked but otherwise clean. A little foxing to endpapers but otherwise page surfaces very clean, no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
