Methuen, 1908. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Original red cloth, elaborately decorated in gilt, top edge gilt (fading and wear to cloth; text foxed; occasional marginal dampstaining). From the library of noted American poet Denise Levertov, signed by her on front endpaper in pencil (as 'Levertoff' before she changed the spelling of her name). With an earlier ink gift inscription, most likely unrelated. 'Sintram' was of particular influence on William Morris.frontis By Albrecht Durer; 20 b/w Illustrations By Edmund J. Sullivan.
