First edition of Six Crises by Richard Nixon, signed by Richard Nixon, Pat Nixon and President Nixon's mother, Hannah M. Nixon.. Octavo, xvi, [2], 460pp. Gray cloth, gilt title over blue on spine and front cover. Light toning to spine, shelf wear to cloth on back panel. Bookplate affixed to front pastedown endpaper, with bookseller's stamp opposite. In publisher's first state dust jacket, with $5.95 price on front flap, chipping along bottom edge, a very good example. Inscribed on the verso of the front free endpaper: "With my very best wishes to Bruce and Lorraine, from Hannah M. Nixon." Additional signatures by Richard Nixon and Patricia Nixon. An exceptionally scarce piece, signed by the first family. Six Crises is the first book written by then former Vice President Richard Nixon. It outlines six major political issues during his career. It went a long way towards rehabilitating Nixon's image after his presidential election defeat of 1960.
