Minor wear to spine ends and corners of green decorated cloth boards, some water-staining to the back, spine has faded from green to a khaki colour, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this lesser-known book by Ballantyne. Not a story, but an account of the author's travels in Cape Colony, South Africa in the 1870s. No publication date given, but Sabbath School prize label inside front board dated 1904. Green boards have illustration of a sailing ship on front and spine. 256pp, 12 b&w illustrations.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Waller, S E. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
