Chicago: The American Publishing Company, 1875. First Edition, First Issue. First edition, first issue with a footnote present on pages 119 & 120. On page 299 there is an 11 line skit headed "From Hospital Days" with the erratum slip.
This book is in fair condition. Moderate chipping and sunning to entire spine. Moderate scuffing to both boards and all corners. Gilt lettering on spine is faded. Gilt lettering and design on front board is still full and vivid. Moderate scuffing to all edges of textblock. Previous owner's handwriting in pencil on front endpaper. Old amateur glue repair to hinges and spine. Interior pages are moderately stained.
