Methuen & Co. Ltd., 1947. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1947. Eleventh Edition. 340 pages. No dust jacket. Khaki cloth with green lettering. Pages are bright, with light tanning and foxing to text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with water marks and a few small nicks along text block edge. Minor dog-eared corners. Rub mark to title page. Annotation to rear free endpaper. Cracked hinge with exposed netting. Binding remains firm, with bubbling to paste-down. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and considerate rub wear to surfaces. Book has a noticeable forward lean. Heaving tanning and sunning to spine and edges.
