About This Item

New York, NY, U.S.A.: Doubleday Publishing, 2001. Deluxe Limited Numbered First. Cloth. New/New Glassine. Still in the very scarce original shrinkwrap! A beautiful limited deluxe numbered edition, signed by John Grisham on the limitation page and numbered 153 of an deluxe issue of 350 total. [The set has never been opened but an outside tag indicates the number]

This is a beautiful little book, special for Christmas in a stylish red presentation box. The book measures 7 3/4" by5 1/4", in pristine white cloth and glassine dustjacket. Endpapers are bright red moire.

The story is a humorous look at a family's determination, and failure, to defy their usual Christmas traditions that year, and was the basis for the very successful 2004 major motion picture, "Christmas With the Kranks" starring Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dan Aykroyd. A perfect gift for a Grisham collector. A gem in the original shrinkwrap.

Reviews

On Jul 23 2005, Morganbooks said:
"Luther and Nora Krank imagine a year without Christmas when they decide that, just this once, they'll skip the holiday altogether...they aren't even going to have a tree. They won't need one, because come December 25 they're setting sail on a Caribbean cruise. But, as this weary couple is about to discover, skipping Christmas brings enormous consequences--and isn't half as easy as they'd imagined."
