London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1910. First edition. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 13" by 10". Edmund Dulac. A de luxe, signed edition of this beautifully illustrated edition of Sleeping Beauty. Illustrated by Edmund Dulac. Limited edition, number 853 of 1000 copies. Signed by Edmund Dulac.With a frontispiece and twenty-nine colour plates. Original tissue guards are preserved. The plates are in an extremely bright condition. In the original decorative morocco binding. Dulac was a French British illustrator, known for his book illustrations, and stamp designs. His first commision was the illustrated the novels of the Bronte Sisters. The stamps he designed heralded the beginning of the Queen Elizabeth II's reign.Former owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper, dated 1913. A beautiful copy of this work. In the original crushed morocco binding. Externally, generally smart. Cover is slightly bowed. Light rubbing to the extremities of the boards. Minor loss to the head and tail of spine. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Minor offsetting to the endpapers. Otherwise, pages are clean. Very Good Indeed
