Tissue-guarded frontispiece portrait of James and his father from a daguerrotype taken in 1854. The author's early years.Head and tail of spine slightly pushed. Near fine in the scarce dustwrapper which is very good indeed, with a faint vertical crease at the spine, a few small chips and two short closed tears.
