The book is tight and square with solid hinges, good tips, and clean boards. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or markings and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. The dust jacket is unclipped ($8.95) with a half-inch closed tear to top back panel and very mild shelf wear, else, bright and fine. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover.

Phyllis Naylor is an American writer best known for children's and young adult fiction. Naylor's children's novel, Shiloh, won a 1992 Newbery Medal. In Small Doses is a collection of humorous reflections for parents on the ups, downs, delights, and frustrations of family life.
