About This Item
271pp + 11 fold-out plans to rear. Photographic plates + in-text diagrams. Very Good clean, tight condition, with bookplate to front pastedown. In original Very Good dustwrapper which has marks to the rear panel and is not price-clipped (Published price 15/-). The author of this book was described as having written the "gospel of the small sailing man who keeps a 5 or 6 tonner on a limited income." If that assessment was based on his publications prior to "Small Yacht Cruising," this book surely enhanced that reputation. In this work he examines a number of then modern designs for small cruisers, discusses seamanship, rigging, provisioning, clothing and equipment. A feature of the book is the inclusion of 11 large folding plans showing yachting lines and accommodation options.
